Monday, July 21, 2008
2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
$35.00 kit included
All Skill Levels

Instead of starting with a large heirloom lace project, many students prefer “Notebook” style classes.  In this class, you will build a reference notebook of basic heirloom sewing techniques that are applicable to a wide variety of fine machine sewing projects.  Some examples are joining lace to lace, lace to fabric, lace to Entreduex, gathering lace and so much more!  (Any sewing machine with a zigzag stitch is capable of creating these techniques.)
.

Want to know a faster way to create that fabulous heirloom project?  Try using your serger instead of a sewing machine.  This “Notebook” class will show you just how easy it is to use your serger to join lace to fabric, lace to lace, gathered fabric to flat fabric, to name a few.  (Any serger with a three thread rolled hem/rolled seam is capable of creating these techniques.)

Pre-Requisite:  Lace Shaping Techniques – Part 1

Why not add pizzazz to your lace shaping.  In this Technique class you will learn how to expand your lace shaping by adding those little decorative touches to your lace shapes.  Although not required, Lace Shaping Technique class is strongly recommended prior to this class.  (Although a sewing machine with built-in decorative stitches is preferable, any machine with a zigzag stitch is capable of creating these techniques.)
.
