Details
Quilts of Valor (QOVs) are quilts made through the joint effort of a "piecer" and a "quilter". The completed quilt is then mailed to a military hospital where a chaplain presents the quilt to a wounded soldier. For more information about the Quilts of Valor program, please visit www.SoCalQoV.org
You'll need to bring the following;
- Machine(s) & sewing supplies.
- Any orphan blocks,
- 100% cotton fabric or scraps (any color or design but NOT juvenile),
- UFO’s
- Tops or complete quilts to donate.
- Something for lunch (if you like, otherwise, food to buy is nearby)
Come have fun and say thanks to the troops by making quilts for them to aid in their healing!!
We will have some supplies ready to construct blocks, or quilt tops, pillowcases and backs to present to our war-wounded veterans.
The SoCal QOV group delivered 460 in 2010! There are chapters nationwide who have presented thousands in total!
