Road to California
A quilters' conference and showcase which features quilts, special exhibits, classes, lectures and evening events. The eighteenth annual quilt show will be held January 19th - 22nd, 2012 at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario California. Over 18K quilters are expected to attend the 4-day show which will feature quilt exhibits, wearable art and dolls as well as lectures and classes by internationally known teachers. In addition to transitional quilts, there will be works featuring portraits, nature-scapes, abstract art and innovative contemporary designs.
Moore's will represent Pfaff, Brother, Tin Lizzie, Koala and Baby Lock. Ed Moore, lead designer of Koala Studios, will also be there showcasing Koala's incredible sewing studios. Moore's will also assist Eleanor Burns and Baby Lock with their hands-on classes, as wells as classrooms with Pfaff and Brother machines.

Longarm classes begin Monday, January 16th. Regular Classes Begin Wednesday, January 18th.

The California Association of Machine Embroidery (C.A.M.E.) Annual SeminarC.A.M.E. invites you to become a member and attend its 28th annual seminar being held this March on the 16th through the 18th at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort in Garden Grove California. There will be 3-days of intensive classes taught by enthusiastic and skilled educators, teaching a variety of machine embroidery, quilting and creative fabric embellishment techniques. The seminar also features sharing displays, a pillowcase exchange, creative challenges and raffle drawings. It is stitching heaven for those who love to sew! A seminar brochure providing details, including classes being offered at the upcoming seminar, is posted on the C.A.M.E. website. Members may join a local area group that holds monthly meetings. The monthly meetings are learning based with techniques taught by fellow members in a planned program as well as a "show and tell". Meetings are held at various business locations (like Moore's!). Membership to C.A.M.E. is $35 a year. The cost is pro-rated according to the month in the year you join. The cost of the 2012 seminar is $375 for Members and $415 for non-members (includes one year membership). The cost covers all 3-days of classes, and meals.
