Meet Kathie Garcia of Moore's Huntington Beach
As a child, Kathie's mother made all her family's clothes. Kathie remarks on what a great seamstress she was and how her mother taught her to sew at a young age.
Kathie loves helping others. She pursued an education in the teaching field and was a a Middle School Art Teacher for 3 years in Brazil, SA and Indianapolis, Indiana. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education at Taylor University in Upland Indiana and received her Master’s Degree in Industrial Education at Cal State Long Beach.
She found that teaching was a way she could help others. It didn’t matter if it was in a public or private school classroom or in an industrial classroom, the ability to help others to learn a skill has always been her passion. Kathie has worked for Moore's for 1 year and especially loves teaching the kids at the Huntington Beach Store.
