Linda Gale Salaets
Meet Linda Gale Salaets at Moore's of RiversideLinda Gale Salaets has been serving Moore’s of Riverside as a Sales associate and instructor over the last three years having been a former customer since the Riverside store first opened. Having a strong desire for experimenting and the learning of new techniques in sewing and garment embellishment, she has always had a passion for expressing herself in new and different ways with projects that include counted cross-stitch, hardanger, needle-point, and other forms of hand produced needlework. With recent advances in computer assisted machine embroidery, she found her true calling and Moore’s helped her to attain it.
Linda graduated with honors from Skadron College of Business and has had a diverse working career in different industries including aerospace and commercial companies, pharmaceutical, banking and financial, and retail experience at various department stores. She has been married for over 20 years and is also the “mother” of two overly-indulged cats.
Linda's teaching philosophy is:
- Allow yourself to make mistakes. It is the driving force behind being creative. It helps you to find new and innovative ways to cover them up!
- Don’t be too critical of your work. Most people will never notice the flaws unless you point them out.
- Each project is a journey. Take the time to enjoy the ride! Too much stress spoils the fun, so grab a piece of chocolate and relax.
Linda Gale’s hallmark asset is her quiet patience that she exhibits during her classes. It is evident that she truly loves people and takes great joy in seeing them succeed and feels their excitement and pride as their projects come together.
