Beginning Quilting – Starburst, Mission Viejo, 5 Sessions, $

Sewing Class Navigation
This class is for the beginning quiltmaker to take their skills to the next level! The use of triangles will be explored: we will learn how to make half square triangles, flying geese units, snowballing and a diagonal/on point setting. You’ll learn to use a rotary cutter and proper ways to measure and cut fabric; strip piecing and sewing with ¼” seams; proper pressing techniques; the right way to cut and sew on borders; pin basting; simple straight line quilting; and the making and sewing on of binding. And – you’ll have a completed quilt at the end of the class!
Prerequisite: Must have made at least one prior quilt, and be familiar with your sewing machine and accessories.
Class Dates: March 12th, 19th and April 2nd, 9th, 16th
