Learn how your sewing machine can do more for you!
In this 6 part series we will be learning how to use a plethora of different accessory feet to help you master tricky techniques and get professional results. Accessory feet help you to construct, decorate and finish your garment, home decor, craft and quilting projects. You will learn how to use feet to help you conquer zippers, piping, pintucks, beading, specialty materials, bias binding, fringe, hemming, gathering, decorative stitches, quilt piecing, free-motion quilting, and much Moore!
Each class will focus on 3-4 different accessory feet and the techniques they allow you to accomplish. You can take the classes in any order! All machine brands are welcome!
Prerequisite: Basic operation of your machine: you can wind a bobbin, thread machine, navigate stitches and change basic settings i.e. stitch length and width.
Class 4: Decorative
- Fringe/Looping Foot
- Candlewicking Foot
- Open Toe Foot
- Open Toe Sole for Digital Dual Feed Foot
- Braiding Foot
Adorn your projects with elaborate decorative finishes and stitches to add a custom touch. Add chenille texture or heirloom fagotting to your project with the fringe/looping foot, or for a ulitirian application use when making pattern markings. With it’s deep tunnel groove on the underside, the candlewicking foot easily feeds over high density stitches that can be used to add a decorative touch to even your most simple projects. Trim your fabrics with braid, cords or beads with passementerie work or easily attach elastic with the braiding foot. The open toe foot gives you extra visibility when doing applique, sewing around intricate curves with decorative stitches or turning corners with a wing needle.
