This high performance sewing and quilting machine is made on the same platform as Janome’s most popular HD9. Part of the performance series the Elna Elnita EF1 is constructed of an all cast aluminum casting and uses ball bearings on its main shafts. Other brands use bushing which do not perform as well. Due to its durable construction this machine sews at speeds up to 1600 S.P.M. and can sew much heavier fabric than most other machines in its class. If your interest is quilting, bag making or garment construction, the performance of this high-speed semi industrial machine will not disappoint.
