Yes! Alex Anderson is coming to QES!

Alex Anderson is coming to Moore’s QES in March 2020! Come join Alex and laugh along with her as she tells you stories of her journey. Learn how the Quilters Select product line, from RNK came to be. Alex is bringing a large trunk show for you to oooh and aaah over! There are so many things you will learn from her presentation.

After learning about Quilters Select products, join Judy Fredenburgh in a team sewing hands-on class.

Star Delight Wall Hanging!

Learn many different techniques while working on this Star Delight Wall Hanging! The applique design is adapted from Alex’s quilt pattern “Star Delight”. The center is couched yarn done in embroidery, with a crystal center, surrounded by applique triangles. Decorative stitches will add a finishing touch. The hanging straps are done with buttonholes and ribbon. The wall hanging will have a mock binding. So many tips and tricks for embroidery and sewing!

Alex Anderson

Alex Anderson’s love of quilting all began in 1978 when she completed her Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt as a part of her work towards her degree in art from San Francisco State University. Over the years her central focus has been to understand fabric relationships and an intense appreciation of traditional quilts and beautiful quilting surface design.

Judy Fredenburgh

Judy Fredenburgh is a professional educator for sewing, embroidery, quilting, and crafting. Judy’s teaching style takes new technologies and inspires students of all levels to find their unique creativity to exhilarate their sewing and crafting passions. Judy has more than 30 years of experience working in the sewing industry. As a former Corporate Educator, Event Coordinator, and Retail Store Manager and a small business owner herself, Judy has a well-rounded understanding of the sewing industry!

Like many sewing enthusiasts, Debi’s interest in sewing sparked at a young age and she became proficient at creating in no time. Her curiosity in fabrics, threads, and notions prompted her to expand this hobby into a career.

While Debi has traveled the country teaching and helping those who want to expand their own creativity in Sewing, Quilting, and Embroidery, her primary focus is on software and embroidery and their use in home décor items and apparel embellishment.

Debi will guide you through this half-day project where you’ll use a high-performance sewing machine to create this beautiful Dresden placemat. Learn techniques for channel quilting, chain piecing, point turning, and paper piecing technique without paper! Go away with a completed project and new skills to use on many more projects to come!

Serger Discovery Tour! This class is great for those who have never used a serger or those who are very experienced! Discover how a serger can cut your sewing time by half!
