Brother Luminaire 3 Innov-is XP3 has expanded the technology barrier in sewing quilting and embroidery. The latest machine in the Luminaire series, the XP3 has enhanced its Stitch Vision technology with a faster, more advanced projection system, giving much better results for perfect placement of your design. The Luminaire XP3 has over 1500 embroidery designs including larger designs up to 28” x 15” in size. These designs incorporate the advanced connection feature that enables you to perfectly match multiple designs even when you re-hoop. The Brother Luminaire XP3 expands its QuiltBroidery feature to include edge-to-edge quilting in the hoop. Now you can quilt an entire quilt using the embroidery hoop, even up to 118” x 118″, which accommodates a king size quilt. Whether it’s sewing, quilting or embroidery, the Brother Luminaire 3 Innov-is XP3 will take you on a journey that will expand your creative horizons.

The Brother Luminaire 3 Innov-is XP3 has enhanced the Stitch Vision technology with greater clarity and lightning-fast speed which gives you more capability to audition your entire embroidery area. This provides more accurate embroidery placement than ever before.
Achieve more precise placement of stitches and embroidery designs with the XP3’s Stitch Vision Technology, an industry-first feature that has been enhanced for greater accuracy. Now you can preview and edit your designs and stitches directly onto your fabric, before ever taking that first stitch, as the XP3 intelligently projects the stitch or design onto the 5″x 3″ virtual preview area.
Dual Purpose Stylus
Projecting your selected stitch onto your fabric is just the beginning. Want to see how changing the stitch length or width, or position of the stitch, will look before you stitch-out? The included stylus interacts with your stitches right on the fabric, without you needing to go back and forth to the screen. You are also able to change the background color of the projection to black, white, or gray.
This stylus also has a soft tip on the other, to be used directly on the LCD screen, when you want to make adjustments on the screen.
Guideline Marker Lines and Grids
The Brother Luminaire 3 Innov-is XP3’s virtual preview area of 5″x3″ also displays guideline markers in single lines, double lines, angles and gridlines. Use these highly adjustable lines and grids to create multiple rows of parallel stitching that are perfectly spaced. You’ll find this extremely useful for cross-hatch quilting, decorative stitches, pintucks, smocking, hems, and curtain rod pockets. The angle lines are an incredible tool for creating perfectly mitered corners, Y-seams, sashing strips, diamond cross-hatching, or square corners.

The Brother Luminaire 3 Innov-is XP3 has automatic tapering of stitches where you can select the beginning and ending angle to be used in this tapering process. One unique thing is the use of a targeting sticker for determining the end point of the taper. You now have a way to applique corners with that perfect miter every time. It’s amazing.
Mobile Apps
My Stitch Monitor App
Wireless connectivity has never been more useful. With the My Stitch Monitor mobile app, you can step away from the machine and still know exactly how an embroidery project is stitching out. My Stitch Monitor will let you know when the thread needs changing, and when a design has finished stitching out. My Stitch Monitor is compatible with Apple and Android phones and tablets.
Artspira Mobile App
Brother has upgraded the design experience, with this newest app that allows you to easily create embroidery and cutting designs in the palm of your hand. Design embroideries inspired by line-art with built-in embroidery drawing tools and optional stitch types (straight and zigzag stitch). Artspira will render embroidery files that are 4″x4″ and 5″x7″, perfect for a wide variety of projects.
My Design Snap Mobile App
My Design Snap, compatible with iOS and Android devices, transfers images from your device directly to the XP3. Simply select your line art or illustration and send it to the machine through your wireless network. Then edit the image in My Design Center, to create an embroidery design directly on the machine.
Design Database Transfer
Use this free downloadable software to wirelessly transfer designs from your PC to the Brother Luminaire 3 Innov-is XP3. Design Database Transfer also works with PE-Design 11, Brother’s desktop embroidery digitizing software, so that edited designs can be transferred back and forth between your computer and the machine.
My Connection Feature
Use your wireless network to easily send design files between your Brother Innov-is XP3 and ScanNCut machines for greater efficiency. This feature works with all non-Disney designs, which can be sent from the XP3 to the ScanNCut to create cut files (great for cutting precise applique pieces) and send design files from the ScanNCut to create perfect embroidery and applique project in My Design Center. This feature works with ScanNCut Innov-ís Edition ScanNCut DX SDX325 and the Limited-Edition Disney Innov-ís Edition ScanNCut DX SDX330D.

Auto-Split of Large Quilting Sashes
This feature lets you easily connects patterns for beautiful, continuous quilt borders. After you choose the size of your border and hoop, the XP3 automatically splits the design into multiple hoopings. Alternatively, the optional Brother-exclusive Hoopnetic Magnetic Sash Frame allows you to merely slide the fabric along the hoop to the next area to be embroidered.
Patent-Pending Brother-Exclusive Hoopnetic Magnetic Sash Frame (optional)
The optional Hoopnetic Magnetic Sash Frame hoops thick fabrics and layered pieces with a strong grip. The fabric will not shift in the Hoopnetic Frame, and re-hooping the fabric for connecting designs or embroidering large areas is a thing of the past. Simply slide the frame in the frame to the next area to be embroidered.
Compact MuVit Digital Dual Feed Foot
The MuVit Digital Dual Feed Foot feeds fabric from the top and bottom. Its direct motor drive was designed for difficult fabrics that require special handling, and its constant contact with the material allows for steady stitching and the ability to stitch forward and backward. MuVit Dual Feed Foot makes is very easy to sew precise, uniform stitches on a range of fabrics like leather, faux fur and silk.
Advanced N+ Foot
The N+ foot is a new, included foot with a durable coating meant to feed fabric smoothly. It has a plastic guide to help minimize the possiblity of the material being misaligned during stitching.
Foldable Spool Thread Stand
The foldable spool thread stand attaches magnetically to the top of the machine, and is ideal for king thread spools.
Multi-Function Foot Controller
The included Multi-Function Foot Controller has been designed to be more ergonomic to the foot, and is accessible for toggle functions. The heel and toe kick angle have been updated and the main pedal has bee redesign for easier stepping and load reduction. There is also a built-in cord storage solution and easy-adjust slot on the back of the pedal.
Needle Point Projection for Free-Motion Quilting
Get precised placement for every stitch with the pinpoint projection directly onto the spot where the needle drops on the fabric. This is a great feature to guider your free-motion quilting.

There are amazing enhancements to My Design Center on the Brother Luminaire 3 XP3. Six new decorative fill patterns have been added, as well as a ten-key input to size designs more accurately. There is also a numbering system for stamp shapes. Custom decorative fill patterns and line motifs can be imported from the optional PE-Design 11, resulting is greater creativity. Also included is a new fine-tip stylus for better drawing in My Design Center.
Custom Draw
Draw or doodle directly on the LCD display and watch it spring to life in the large drawing area. Or, use the industry-first ScanImation Scanning Frame to scan drawings, line art, handwriting, or printed clip art and have it transformed into embroidery data. Or, import a JPEG using the USB port, and be amazed as the image is turned into stitch data using just the machine.
