Embellish Fusible Underlay Bold 30” x 3 yards is designed to fortify and prepare fabric before embroidery, ensuring clean, damage-free stitching. This non-stabilizer prep material boosts fiber density so even the most intricate or dense designs stitch smoothly without puckering or fabric damage. It fuses to the back of fabric, forming a protective bond that preserves the fabric’s drape while adding strength and stability. Ideal for use with burlap, sweater knits, cotton, or delicate fabrics, it also helps cover scratchy stitches on garments and adds body for handwork or beading.

For machine embroidery, use in conjunction with an Embellish stabilizer and topper for best results.
How to use:
To use Embellish- Fusible Underlay Bold:

1. Cut a piece of Embellish- Fusible Underlay Bold at least one inch larger than the embroidery design area. If prepping fabric for a quilt block it is recommended to use a piece as large as the block.
2. Place the fusible side (textured side) of Embellish- Fusible Underlay Bold to the wrong side of the fabric and press using a low temp, dry iron (silk setting)

**It is necessary to use a pressing cloth or sheet between the iron and Embellish- Fusible Underlay Bold. Embroider or embellish the item using the appropriate stabilizer in addition to Embellish- Fusible Underlay Bold. If desired, after the embroidery is complete, fuse one layer of Embellish- Fusible Underlay Bold over the back of the design to keep it from scratching the wearer’s skin. Use a burst of steam to create a permanent bond between Embellish Fusible Underlay Bold and the base fabric.
